Robert Sheehan talks about TMI and sequels for the film

Robert Sheehan who plays Simon in City of Bones spoke with BANG Showbiz about the upcoming film.

''It's a great big fat action film. Basically, I think it's magical and wonderful. For me, it was lots of great big fun shooting it because I was regressed back to being a boy because it was all very fantastical. There were lots of vampires, werewolves and all that business. It was great. It lent itself well to the imagination.
''I think it has an uninhibited sense of adventure. There's a wonderful, tangential sense to the adventure, much in the way of Indiana Jones, where he basically gets pulled to and fro in the mad tide of adventure and [the films are] completely out of control from start to finish.
''That's what I love about the script and that's what I think the script has done.''
The former 'Misfits' star also confirmed that he and his fellow cast mates are signed on to star in potential sequels to the movie, which is based on the first of Clare's bestselling 'The Mortal Instruments' books - five of which have been published, with a sixth due for release next year.
Quizzed about his contractual obligations for future sequels, he said: ''Yes, we are indeed.''

Cassandra Clare has teen fiction down like 'Clockwork'

USA Today has put up an article about Cassandra Clare! Writer of TMI and TID books.

With more than 22 millioncopies in print worldwide of her two fantasy series, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, author Cassandra Clare might be considered an expert on fiction that appeals to teens.
Clare, 39, whose final book in the Devices trilogy,Clockwork Princess, will be released Tuesday, says "there's no magic formula."
But what she's doing — imagining a secret society of young demon hunters, known as Shadowhunters, in a world of vampires, werewolves and warlocks — is working like magic both in bookstores and Hollywood.
The film adaptation of the first book in Clare's first series, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, starring Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower, will hit theaters Aug. 23.
