City of Bones sequel gets a release date

Well not exactly. There isn't an exact day yet but The Producer of The Mortal Instruments Franchise has posted on Facebook that Constantine Film has secured worldwide distribution rights for The Mortal Instruments film, City of Ashes. Lily Collins and Jamie Bower are signed on for the sequel which will be released in 2014.
