Lily Collins, the new face of Lancome

Lily Collins aka Clary Fray has been chosen as the face of Lancome which is a house of French cosmetics.

Lancôme have announced a new rose amongst their already blossoming English actress hall of fame.

Joining existing ambassadors Kate Winslet and Emma Watson (and American beauty Julia Roberts) is Lily Collins, the 24-year-old, Guildford-born actress and model, and daughter of Eighties pop star Phil Collins.

“With her charm, gracefulness, modernity and lively wit, Lily Collins is the perfect embodiment of femininity according to Lancôme,” stated Françoise Lehmann, general manager of Lancôme International. And with her modelling experience (her career in front of the camera started when she was two) Collins is also a perfectly confident beauty muse for her tender age.

“It’s an absolute honour and privilege to have been chosen to represent the Maison Lancôme. I feel incredibly lucky to be included among the most inspirational women ambassadresses for one of the most prestigious brands in the world. It’s truly a dream come true,” confided Collins, whose beauty has been likened to a modern-day Audrey Hepburn.

Kevin Zegers on the cover of BELLO magazine

Kevin Zeger's is featured on the cover of BELLO magazine for the August 2013 issue.

In the magazine he talks about his character, Alec Lightwood, in The Mortal Instruments.

Here's a little of what he told the magazine about his character:

"The thing that I didn't want was for him to be some generic, prototypical character, what people would expect from the gay character," Kevin said. "For me, it was about creating a character whose sexuality didn't matter...I actually don't think it's that big a f-king issue anymore. Certainly not with me, and especially not with the generation that read this book. So it wasn't something that we really focused on. But one thing I was aware of was the fact that there haven't been many great examples of a really strong gay character, one of the leads in a really big movie who happens to be gay and who's also kind of a badass."
